Buddhist-Informed Therapy Group
90-Minute Structured Therapy Group | Ongoing with Modular Entry
This group is a foundational offering within my practice — a structured, skills-based psychotherapy group integrating contemplative psychology with relational depth and shared practice in community.
The group unfolds across thematic modules, each lasting four weeks and followed by a dedicated “Recentering Week.” These recentering weeks create space for reflection, consolidation, and intentional transition, and serve as defined entry points for new members. Teachings may explore themes such as self-compassion, impermanence, meeting emotional pain with mindful awareness, and understanding how our relational patterns can either perpetuate suffering or open the door to greater freedom and connection
The full arc spans approximately 20 weeks. Participants commit one module at a time (five consecutive weeks), with the opportunity to continue during each recentering transition.
Structure & Flow
Each group session includes:
A brief grounding practice to help us arrive together
Reflections on how members applied and practiced the previous week’s teaching — sharing triumphs, challenges, and receiving feedback and support from both myself and fellow members
Group discussion to deepen and integrate learning
Introduction of a new contemplative concept or skill
Guided group practice
Application to real-life patterns and relationships
Closing reflections & questions
Teachings draw from Buddhist psychological principles and are translated into accessible, clinically grounded language. The focus is not on adopting beliefs, but on practical application and meaningful transformation within a supportive community.
Between sessions, members are encouraged to practice intentionally and notice what unfolds in daily life. Each week, we return with stories — of effort, resistance, missteps, humor, difficulty, and growth — learning not only from our own experience, but from one another’s.
Commitment & Attendance
Participants commit to one full 5-week module (four content weeks plus one recentering week).
Sessions are billed weekly at the standard group rate. Because the group builds cumulatively and relies on relational consistency, attendance is essential. Members are expected to attend all sessions within the committed module.
One absence per module is permitted. Missed sessions are still billed, as the participant’s space in the group is reserved.
If more than one absence occurs within a module, we will reevaluate together whether continued participation is a good fit at this time.
A 30 minute screening session is required prior to enrollment.
Financial Investment: $100 for initial screening and $80 per 90-minute group session
Private pay. Superbills available for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
