Dharma & Healing Book Club
A Virtual Reflective Community | Offered in the Spirit of Generosity
I know for myself — and for many people I speak with — there’s often a long list of “been meaning to read” books about Buddhism, mindfulness, trauma, therapy, relationships, and healing.
The truth is, many of these texts ask something of us. They move more slowly. They hold depth and invite us to pause and reflect in ways that lighter reading simply doesn’t. They are not the kind of books we fly through on a lazy Sunday afternoon like the hot new thriller that just dropped. They require presence and intentionality… and maybe even a little perseverance.
Without a bit of structure — or a circle of like-minded others — it can be difficult to stay with them long enough to let the material truly land. To wrestle with it. To apply it. To allow it to shape how we live.
This group exists for that reason. It offers gentle accountability for those “been meaning to read” books — a space to reflect together, learn from one another’s insights, and translate meaningful ideas into lived experience. So that what we read does not remain on the page, but begins to take root in how we live.
What Our Time Together Looks Like
Each virtual gathering includes:
A brief grounding practice
Guided discussion of selected readings
Reflection on how the material resonates in daily life
Voluntary sharing in a thoughtful and respectful space
Gentle facilitation to deepen understanding and connection
Reflective prompts offered at the close of each gathering to accompany your reading and deepen integration before we meet again
The books we explore may include Buddhist teachers, contemplative psychologists, and trauma-informed clinicians — voices that bridge spiritual practice and emotional healing.

A Note on the Nature of This Space
This is not group therapy. While personal reflections are welcome, the group is intended as a reflective and educational space rather than a place for processing acute or highly personal trauma.
We aim to share in ways that feel grounded and integrated, so the space remains steady and supportive for everyone present. If you are seeking deeper therapeutic processing, individual or group psychotherapy would be a more appropriate setting.
Listening is always welcome. Sharing is optional. Care for the collective experience guides how we engage.
