Buddhist-Informed Psychotherapy Consultation Lab

A 12-Week Closed Cohort for Licensed Clinicians

A structured consultation space for licensed clinicians interested in integrating Buddhist psychology with rigorous, trauma-informed psychotherapeutic care.

This offering is designed for psychotherapists interested in exploring how Buddhist-informed perspectives may illuminate ethical, relational, and evidence-based psychotherapeutic care. It is especially suited for clinicians who feel drawn to Buddhist principles and wish to deepen their understanding so that these insights may thoughtfully inform the care they offer their clients.

Together, we explore how teachings such as The Eightfold Path, the Brahmaviharas, and ethical precepts, may illuminate clinical assessment, intervention, therapist stance, and relational presence.

This is not a religious study group, nor is it formal supervision. Rather, it is a clinically grounded consultation space for thoughtful integration, intellectual rigor, and shared inquiry. It is a space for curious and likeminded clinicians to gather and discuss these rich teachings, and how it may deepen their work with clients.

Session Structure

  • Brief conceptual framing exploring a contemplative principle and its potential clinical applications

  • Collaborative reflection on how these principles may inform psychotherapeutic care

  • Case presentations and consultation

  • Exploration of therapist embodiment and how contemplative practice shapes therapeutic presence and relationship

  • Considerations for trauma-informed and neurodivergence-affirming care

  • Discussion of how contemplative principles relate to and integrate with evidence-based modalities such as DBT and ACT

Themes May Include

  • The Precepts and ethical therapeutic care

  • How the Four Noble Truths can inform a therapist’s orientation to suffering

  • The Eightfold Path and treatment planning

  • Observing the Five Hindrances and Three Poisons in clinical presentations

  • Cultivating the Brahmaviharas to support clinical work and reduce burnout

  • The relationship between the Bodhisattva ideal and the role of the therapist

  • Recognizing and avoiding spiritual bypassing in clinical settings

While I offer structured framing and perspective drawn from my training and clinical experience, the depth of the group emerges through dialogue, case reflection, and collective discernment.
